is not in the air any longer. 

There was once upon a time, just a few weeks before where the lift of Block E became a portal to another world. Confessions of love and acts of affection filled the its walls and floors, to a point where there was no space to stand more than 3 people at any one time because at least 3/4 of the lift was cordoned off with tape and what not. But, it wasn't as if anyone minded because it was Buaya Week, a time to show off your love to the mortal that you are in-charge of. 

Other than the lifts, the walls along corridors and even the mirrors and cubicles of the toilet were not spared because any blank wall could become a potential place for one's love declaration. From posters announcing one's love to lines of sweet nothings and sweet somethings, love was lingering in the air and things were literally hanging from the ceilings. Block E had officially become a war zone where there was no bloodshed, but an abundance of this crazy little thing called love. 

And crazy it was because many Eekers spent a sleepless week ensuring that their buayee felt loved. From small love declarations plaster on his/her door, to handicraft, and even a whole resume, this is what love means to us Eekers. and there were even buayas who totally took care of his buayees love life and plastered a certain Eekers poster on a certain SuKee's door. others ensured that their love was felt through their possessive and psychotic outward appearances. while other showed love by plastering their loved ones face all over the vending machine (good move on the slogans i say!)

by the end of the week, if anyone said that he/she wasn't moved by the actions of his/her buaya, i would think that we should think about it in another way, at least we have Buaya Week to show our undying and often very duazhong love for each other. feel the love around you.

now that Buaya Week is over and the decorations and declarations taken down, i'd say, love can still be in the air and everyday can be a buaya day if we want it to be. but of course, the first thing on everyone's minds right now is the upcoming exams.

don't fret about it because the hall is having a Good Luck Concert on the 30th and Block E will be having our CAP 5 Dinner in a few weeks time. you better come for dinner cause it'll ensure you getting a CAP 5.0 in the current semester, that's the magic of Block E's rooftop!

Dear Eekers,

It is with greatest thanks that I write this letter to all of you. The KR-SH Gathering was a total success with the help of all who had turned up. I hope that it has been a night to remember for all of you. Here is how the night went... 

It started with the Block Commers going door to door to jio people over to KR and we thank all of your for your overwhelming response and help with the logistics that were being brought over. I'm sure that there is no doubt the guys carrying the delectable Swensen's mooncakes thought that it was a sweet burden to bear. 

The walk over to KR's E Block was long and tiring, but we overcame the obstacles of the dark and long winding road together to make it there! We have proven that the Eekers are the bravest souls as we have battled through the longest path in the war of "Who has to walk the longest distance to their KR sister block". I'm sure we will find a place to put that record into the "Eekers Book of Records" (publication of such a book is still pending.)

After reaching KR, our Eeker guys had their hormones start raging as they saw many chio girls. However, our Eeker girls were not left out either because there were many handsome, promising Eguanas. (Maybe a vote should be taken to see if Eguana guys are more handsome than Eeker guys - but please take note, DO NOT SLEEP WITH THE E - - - Y!). And thus started the mating  making-out  mixing/interaction session between the two blocks who are the furthest from each other.

We started out with a game of strip indian poker/charades-esque game and had quite some fun. Personally, the words were really cool and we thank the Eekers who have made them because there was so much effort put into it. Our strips of paper were of better quality and colour that that of those-who-shall-not-be-named.  But overall, the game was fun with Group 1 coming in 1st place, Group 2 in 2nd, Group 3 in 3rd and Group 4 coming in 4th, respectively.

Then came the almost highlight of the night - FOOD! Our gracious host had prepared a multitude of food that could feed almost 5000 people 100 people. I have personally not tried the food and thus cannot comment on how delicious it was. However, with the response that was given to the MCs on that day, I would assume that it was good. 

While gulping down the food, trying to get brain freeze, the MCs announced another almost highlight of the night, the performances. Firstly, we had Quelyn from the 7th level singing a song that was meant to allow all present to feel a sense of bonding because "If we hold on together" we can trash be friendly with KR even till next year's Rag&Flag. Next we had Andy from the 6th Level and long time friend Melody (please correct if i'm wrong, thank you) singing a lovely song to remind the Eguanas that no matter what, "You've got a friend in me", the Eekers, even though we are so far away from each other, time and distance will not separate our hearts until next years KR-SH Gathering where we would like you to bake that mudpie again. Last but not least, we had the Blockhead (please insert name here) and his friend (please insert name here) sing the song "Always be my baby". I am not sure if they want the Eekers to always be their baby, but I'm sure our Eeker guys would feel a little uncomfortable if that were to be the case. However, the friend (please insert name here) was singing it to his girlfriend, so we can assume that the Eeker guys are safe from any awkward situations.

And then came the HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT! ICE-CREAM MOONCAKES that rocked to the max. Obviously sponsored by Swensens and the generous Eekers who could have kept it for themselves but shared it with KR. It was the most heavenly thing that was served at the gathering that night. E block also served a delectable cake sponsored by BreadTalk, and we want to thank them for that as well. 

So, that's was the end of the gathering this year and when we left, the Eguanas were mic-whoring, so the opposite of the cam-whores that we Eekers are. But I'm sure that both parties came to a consensus that the event was a good one.

We look forward to next year's gathering and we hope that you do too.
