*SOB SOB* SENIOR FAREWELL!! *SOB SOB*

In yet another event that confirms their place as the most happening block in Sheares Hall, Eekers honored their graduating seniors with a grand farewell. There was food! Lots of good food! There was hilarious entertainment, and there were moments of Eeker random madness!

First the food! Juniors (Year 1+2) vs Seniors (Year 3+4) cooking competition! The Juniors were relegated to cook at the disgustingly clean Daredevil kitchen, while the Seniors occupied the position of pride at the Eeker kitchen. Cooking went civilly this year, unlike a similar competition last year between the old and new Block Comms, where one Comm was cruelly ponded by the Daredevils as they cooked in their kitchen, with the approval of a treacherous Eeker Blockhead - who later got ponded himself - serves him right!

Without further ado. The food!

The youthful and energetic Juniors went the adventurous route and made claypot rice, bruschetta, Thai mango dessert, green-tea ice cream and lemon-grass drink, while the Seniors were somewhat more conservative with baked potato wedges with mayonnaise, cheese and bacon bits, sushi rolls, red beans and brownies! Judging was done by the dashingly handsome and suave RF Colin, the elderly but dignified Anthony, and the youthful bubbly Yinghwee!

At the end, conservative won over adventurous, and the Seniors won the competition! Nonetheless everyone put in a great deal of effort and put up a smashing smorgasbord of gastronomic delights!

The performances!

On top of the yummy food, the night was also filled with hilarious performances and beyond-American-Idol singing! The show was hosted by the Eeker's very own Britney Speares and Joyce - I mean Peng Fei - Every Eeker was suitably impressed by Darren's Ukelele skills and songwriting, roared with laughter at the sketches, were almost moved to tears by the beautiful and touching singing , and almost bust a gut at the dance act - which was hopelessly out of sync with the video showing behind them! But the dance act had the most cheers with their daring acrobatics and slick moves!

The enthralled audience!

And finally the random Eeker madness - with Nic abetting Sharon to steal all the sushi ingredients - presumably for their very own nefarious plot to make personal midnight snacks at the expense of all other Eekers. But alas! They were caught in the act by our roving photographer! Honorary Eeker Bingzhi was roped in to be Darren's body double during the Ukelele performance, and Jilyn was seen mercilessly beating Songyun.

Yes folks it was a night of food, fun and merriment! This reporter wishes all graduating Eekers all the best - and remember: Once an Eeker, always an Eeker!
