The End of the Affair

Today marks the day when hearts where broken, sighs where heard (or gasps for Zaihao's case). I'm sure many people were very excited about the revelation tonight and gifts were exchanged, etc. etc. and in the tradition of Sheares Hall, every year two members get "Buaya King" or "Queen". These are people who have put in effort for their Buayee, making them touched, excited, happy, blissful and totally in love.

This year, we have two wonderful (if i may say so myself) individuals who have garnered this honour. Presenting suckstobenic and oldchris in an exclusive interview!

How does it feel like to be Buaya King/Queen?
N: Don't know leh (Laughs idiotically)
C: Okay lorh, very sad had to rush for another meeting. *Sad face*

Were you expecting this?
C: hmm, i was dreading the nomination larh, cause very paiseh one leh. then i don't lorh, quite paiseh larh.
N: Not really.

Nic, would you like to say more?
(Laughs) Yar. (long pause) No larh. not really. Cause everybody was very very good also. like zaihao arh, junlong, darren, etc.

Which was the best part of Buaya week for you personally?
N: Getting presents lorh.
C: (Thinking to herself "duh") its the bonding that people experience. When you ally to buaya somebody, the excitment of making or receiving something. the whole buzz of anticipation.

Did your girlfriend/boyfriend get jealous?
N: No larh, she knows it's a block culture. I told her it might be Buaya week but for her its Buaya Year (*collective "awwww")
C: Not applicable.

So Nic, HONESTLY, are you as good to her as you are to your buaya.
N: (slightly offended) Of course larh! (food comes flying out of his mouth) THOUSAND times better lorh! Yar i make stuff for her sometimes. not so ridiculously retarded larh, but I like to make stuff.

What's the secret of success?
C: F-ferd leh! (looking old and wise) you must be excited about Buaya week itself lorh. Also good to have a theme so you work around it. (Chris' theme was Italian soccer captain Cannavaro)
N: (looking older and wiser) When you buaya someone, there are 2 ways to go.... (Chris gives a duh face) No larh, my strategy was to entertain her, make her laugh.

Any words of advice for next year?
C: F-ferd leh!
N: (a sense of deja vu???) When you buaya someone, there are 2 ways to go...No larh, buaya big christine cause she replies retarded stuff and appreciates the simple stuff even.
C: Wah nic you so nice arh!!! (*Stuneed, nearly fainted)
N: Of course larh! Wah lau a!
C: hahaha, but yar Nic is very funny.

(An intruder arrives)
Hyeli: Yar, sucks to be nic got a very new sense of humour which is very fresh and something the block has never seen before. He is really very good larh, to win even people like zaihao, junlong and darren leh!

(Nic lets out a GIANT burp)

Does the prize (a small melted bar of hersey's dark chocolate) SUCK or does it SUCK!!!
(The interviewer is starting to lose her objectiveness)
C: Totally.
N: The prize rocks larh! Totally makes everything worth my effort lorh.

Today is the very last day of Buaya Week!
some would be happy that its all over cos it seriously takes up lotsa time, sleep and of cos money.
while others would be sad that there aint gonna be any more surprises for them.
but i hope every eeker enjoyed themselves this week.

Buaya Week

i wanna complain! buaya week start already, then block comm don't need to update blog arh?!

hmms. nvm i will do the updating. *fainted.

(wah lau a i damn busy leh, full time buaya part time student lorh. during the whole week, i have barely done any studying. iyo sian my 4.6 cap how sia!!! everyday stay up planning buaya week stuff, making posters, singing songs, etc. hais.) If i don't get cap 4.6 next sem i don't stay liao. muahahahaa.

just a recap of exciting events.

today, yingshi came back, tired, dead and drained out from her ivp training, only to be greeted by a wonderful sight of dinner (Complete with vegetables, drinks and a wonderful mickey mouse). she was momentarily stunned and paralysed with bliss. hahaa. the camera caught sight of her crawling into her room with glee. this shall be uploaded after buaya week.

the lift btw, is overcrowded. And in accordance with Malthus' theory of overpopulation, the weaker ones will be killed off. this is truly survival of the fittest.

another disturbing occurance in block e is the nude pictures that are circulating in the block. not only is it sexually unhealthy, some of the pictures are not aesthetically pleasing. for example, the "boxers" that our dear block head don in the lift look flimsy and of poor quality. his butt crack might make low cut "boxers" all the rage in block e again.

this does not bode well for members of the fairer sex i believe.

question of the year: who is the level 4 short wing buaya?!!?!?!? *super-fainted. anyway i must confess openly that i stole (With permission) some articles of food from the stash. muahahaha.

of course let me report about myself! since im blogging. (shameless leh, chris) i came back on sunday night, very excited to see what was in the bathroom! cause caroline msged me in the morning to tell me my buaya has a bad sense of humour. haha. i was so pleased to see my boyfriend on the mirror! now i won't miss him so much when he is roaming the high seas! hope he comes to singapore soon. after all in the 3rd sequel johnny depp comes to Singapore marh. will post pics after buaya week.

i shall make an appeal here to proper grammar and spelling. hehe. kidding larh. ;p

esther had a SUPER SUPER SUPER belated birthday celebration! yea and her mr. keanu reeeves made a sunset in her room! wow how terribly romantic. now when she sleeps or wakes she will STILL see the sunset! =)

Oh oh! the kitchen is going to explode soon. everyday/night/morning, people are cooking up a storm with intense fierceness! yesterday (i shan't say that its our ex-blockhead larh) somebody made his stuff so chao1 ta1 till Colin came up all the way from lvl 1! Lured by the scent of chao1 ta1 ness.

hyeli is now effectively ten-lingual, being able to say I-LOVE-YOU in many different languages!

On the bus today I spoke to Basil and was very heartened that he and Irene are very into Buaya week! I think its very cool that this event manages to excite even the foreign exchange students like my neighbour Jennifer and even the level 2 people. =) and this round, there is less discrimination in terms of buaya-ing.

of course, it doesn't mean everyone enjoys equal happiness during buaya week. some people don't get buaya-ed, some people get slow/insincere buayas. is it an issue of popularity? looks? luck? these are all tough questions that people have no doubt thought about. but sometimes you really can't blame anybody - especially if they have tests/etc.


so as eekers let's do our best to make everyone feel involved, excited and loved these few days okay! after all, in block e, no one gets left behind. take a look ard and see if anyone is missing out. may be your neighbour, may be the lvl 8 boys (so poor thing leh :S) or someone you know. jus do something nice for them won't you?

Buaya Week or Halloween???

Scarecrow first appeared in the darkness of the lift (Which caused 2 people to jump when they saw me in the lift...oh, makes me feel so beautiful :S)

This caused misgivings amoung the girls as they dreaded using the lift.

Some feminists decided to reclaim the body of the scarecrow for the fairer sex and femininised this dominating male centric figure by cutting the long dark rubbish bag into a funky mini skirt with plaits. Also, make up was applied on the pink ballon face, the hair tied up under a blue cap and a dash of lace to accentuate the waist of this new found feminine figure!

However, a few hours later, the feminist movement was overrun and Chuckie reappeared at the sides of the level 5 short wing, to much fear and trembling.

There are tables located outside the lounge for you to drop your gifts for your buaya. It’s so big you can’t miss it. J

The Commencement

muahahaha! first non-block comm member to gain access to the prestigious eekers blog. don't offend me hor! otherwise ill tell everybody in the blog.hahahhahahahaha. (abusing her new found power *evil grin)




And thus, the commencement of the much anticipated Buaya Week, in just less than an hour ago, has resulted in

1. the hogging of the lift by Marcus, Darren and Big Nic (hmphs~!!!)
2. secret meetings on level 3. they have announced that level 3 short wing is off limits. Hence, people who buaya them, please do not give them anything. Your cooperation is much appreciated.
3. Chef Tanoto cooking up a helluva yummilicious storm on level 5.
4. Illicit meetings in rooms
5. Threats of "I tell your buaya not to buaya you arh!"
6. Theft. No elaboration. hahaa.
7. Came up with a Maple Story idea. so we cxan be like theif, magician, bowsman or warrior. and doing mission gets us points. and you can level up and use new weapons. idea scraped and booed to the depths of hell.
8. everyone writes shamelessly their likes and dislikes on a red paper heart.

if the first hour of buaya week holds so much promise, what unforeseen circumstances and adventures await!

Fork out the money, put in the effort and you might just attain immortality in the oral history of Blk E.

WhAt's NeXt?? Is there no end?... (Yes!)

Sheares Hall Committee Fair opens today!

This is the time where everyone will go take a look at the various committees in hall.
I highly encourage you all not to overload yourselves. A good amount of participation will be (2 comms, 2 sports) or (1 comm, 3 sports). The amount of points you receive will be a deciding factor for you to stay in hall and get the room you want. Thus, choose well...
If you all have any queries or doubts, please feel free to look for the seniors. We are always around for you all.. LOL..

Brief outline of the Upcoming Events:

Monday, 6-8pm: Comm fair( This is when you sign up your names for the various committees)

Tuesday, 8pm: Point Forum( This forum talks about the points allocated for each committee and member)

Wed-Thur, 6-8pm: Committee Interview( This is when you have to go through a short interview by the committee which you are interested in. )

Thursday Nite: Buaya Week STARTS!!!!

Zichao's Bday

Based on a true story...



Idea from a multiplayer online warcraft frozen throne custom map DoTa v6.36b...

There was no backdoor rule...

One card to rule them all...

It was Zichao's bday a few days ago, but being the magnanimous and understanding hall friends that we are, due to his pressing project commitments at that point of time, we decided to push back his inevitable fate to a later date :D

So just now he came out of his room screaming "supper lei!", nic and i were like staring at each other, "Oooookaaaaaay! Did he just say 'mai tu liao'?"

But Zichao's 4.5++ cap wasnt bullsh*t, and he was smart enough to lock his door as he left his room for supper. We thought we lost it, and just when all our morale were low, an idea sparked our minds... (that's why they say 3 carpenter is better than 1 zhuge liang) So we got winson to go to the comm hall with zichao, pretending that he forgot to bring his matric card, and say he needs to go back to his room to get something, as an excuse to borrow zichao's card from him.

While back at level 6, me, small nic, ming feng, meng wei, how fatt, wooram, jason, weijie, ziyi, kent, marcus were standing waiting at the lift, praying that winson would succeed in getting the card...

The lift was coming up...

There was silence...

Then the lift door opens..

What happened next was really dramatic, but i swear it happened..

The lift was dark.

SUDDENLY, there in the middle of the stage, a spotlight cast down on this guy, and in his hand he held a card, that pulsed rythmically to the throb of your heart, as though it has a life of its own, emitting blinding white light that momentarily mesmerized the crowd with its sheer beauty (just for one split second though, before we grabbed it :D ), the ONE CARD we need to own him.

So we got down to work, unlocked his door, went in and removed EVERY FREAKIN THING in his room, leaving ABSOLUTELY NOTHING behind hahahahahah!

and here is where they all went.. :)

Its a pity we didnt take down the process of clearing his room, it was really funny! :D
